F1 quiz: Every Red Bull, Toro Rosso and AlphaTauri driver

Henry Valantine
Max Verstappen and Pierre Gasly. Mexico November 2021.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen leads AlphaTauri's Pierre Gasly. Mexico November 2021.

Your next F1 quiz will require you to cast your mind back to 2005, in which an upstart team called Red Bull Racing joined the sport.

Their senior squad took to the track after taking over from the struggling Jaguar outfit and made their debut in Australia in 2005, before the former Minardi team was also taken on by Red Bull to introduce their junior team, Scuderia Toro Rosso (now named AlphaTauri), to Formula 1 a year later.

The line-ups have changed over the years, and multiple drivers have represented both Red Bull-affiliated teams as their most successful juniors have graduated to the senior team.

This might sound like one of our simpler quizzes overall then, but it’s not as easy as you might think.

As with any team, there have been a couple of stand-in drivers to appear in the teams’ time in the sport, and the only clue we are giving you is the individual driver’s active years with either Red Bull or Toro Rosso/AlphaTauri, as plenty have flitted between the two. We don’t want to hand it to you on a plate…

If you enjoy this quiz, you can take a look at our previous Formula 1 quizzes by simply searching ‘F1 quiz’ on the search bar on PlanetF1.com. Start yourself off with our last effort, if you can name every driver to gain just the one pole position as a Formula 1 driver.

We at Planet Sport also have Sportword for you to try, if you can guess a five-letter F1-related word once a day in six guesses.

But back to the here and now. In all, there are 20 drivers to have appeared under the Red Bull, Toro Rosso or AlphaTauri moniker – good luck getting them all!

*Answers correct as of 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
