There’s some good news for Valtteri Bottas with Niki Lauda declaring that next year’s W09 will suit his driving style.
While Bottas managed just three podium results since F1 returned from the summer break, his team-mate Lewis Hamilton claimed five race wins.
As such the British racer wrapped his fourth World title last Sunday in Mexico while Bottas has been left to fight Sebastian Vettel for second.
There is, however, some good news for the Finn.
“At the start, the car was suitable for both drivers,” Lauda told C More. “But through development it became more suitable for Lewis’s driving style.
“The reason for what happened is more our fault than Valtteri’s.
“The car for the coming season will suit not only Lewis’ but also Valtteri’s driving style.”
