Having spent his entire career with Force India, this season will be the first that Adrian Sutil takes on a new challenge with Sauber.
Entering F1 with Force India; then known as Spyker; in 2007 it took Sutil 15 grands prix before he netted his one and only points-scoring result of that season.
2008 followed without a single point while in 2009 he again managed just one points-scoring run.
But despite three trying years, Force India retained him for 2010 which proved to be a breakthrough campaign.
Netting a total of 47 points, Sutil finished inside the top ten on nine occasions including two P5s.
The following season his performances levelled out with his most noteable moment being a bar fight that saw him dropped by the team at the end of the Championship and handed a suspended prison sentence.
After a year away from the sport, Force India opted to reinstate Sutil when he won a shoot-out with Jules Bianchi and although another solid campaign it was to be his last with Force India.
With the team opting for an all-new line-up, including signing Nico Hulkenberg, Sutil eventually completed a straight swap with his compatriot as he took his Sauber seat.
With a new team, new rules and new engines, Sutil is hoping for somewhat of a revival.
