Alonso returns to action – in simulator
Fernando Alonso will step up his preparations for the Malaysian GP on Wednesday as he will drive the McLaren simulator.
The double World Champion missed the season-opening Australian Grand Prix the past weekend as he was advised to skip the race after he suffered a concussion during a crash in the second test in Barcelona.
He spent three evenings in hospital and only returned to training last week.
On Wednesday he will up his game as he will be in the McLaren simulator at their Woking headquarters with the team confirming via Twitter: "Spotted at #MTC: Fernando’s in the house today and will be in the simulator tomorrow."
Alonso is yet to be officially confirmed for the Malaysian GP on 29 March as he needs to be given the all-clear by the FIA medical team.
