Bernie: It’s not looking good for German GP

Bernie Ecclestone admits that it is "looking unlikely" that Germany will host a race this year, but insists they are "trying to rescue it".

The 2015 German Grand Prix has been pencilled in for the weekend of 19 July with the Nurburgring named as venue as per the agreement with Hockenheim.

However, Ecclestone announced in January that Hockenheim would in fact host the 2015 event, but track officials have denied that they have a deal to stage the race this year.

Ecclestone has now been forced to concede that we may not have a German GP at all this year.

"Who knows? There are two places (circuits) there. Wait and see," he told Reuters.

"It's not looking good…you can say that it (the race) looks unlikely but we are trying to rescue it. I don't want to lose it, for sure. We are trying our best."
