Bernie: Verstappen has been good for F1

Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone feels Max Verstappen has been a very good addition to the F1 grid, adding he is expecting “big things” from the youngster.
Verstappen made history at the start of the year when he became the sport’s youngest-ever driver at the age of just 17 years and 166 days while he was also the youngest driver to score points when he finished P7 in his second race in Malaysia.
The Toro Rosso rookie, who has scored 32 points in his 14 races to date, has certainly impressed in his debut campaign as he has gone wheel to wheel with several of the sport’s veterans, often coming out on top.
“The arrival of Max has been very good for Formula 1,” Ecclestone told Dutch paper De Telegraaf. “He is fast, but also a boy with character – both on and off the track.
“Currently, most of the top teams are targeting him and he is high on all sorts of lists should a seat open up somewhere. I’m expecting big things from Max in the future.”
