Sky Bet have seen early money for Sebastian Vettel to win the Spanish Grand Prix ahead of the race at the Circuit de Catalunya.
Vettel is now the 5/6 favourite ahead of fellow Red Bull driver Mark Webber, the Aussie is the 9/2 second favourite to grab his first win of the season. Despite a resurgence from the Ferrari team in Turkey earlier this month, Red Bull are still looking utterly dominant and in the ‘Winning Team’ market. Red Bull are the hot 1/2 favourite with Sky Bet whilst McLaren are available at 3/1 and Ferrari at 9/2.
The McLarens however, were slightly disappointing in Turkey, which has seen Lewis Hamilton drift out significantly to win the 2011 Drivers’ Championship. He is now 4/1 to take that crown at the end of the season and as big as 9/2 to take the full 25 points in Spain, fellow Englishman and McLaren team-mate Jenson Button is 9/1 to win on Sunday.
Spaniard Fernando Alonso, who grabbed second place last year and won his home race in 2006, is 6/1 to repeat his fantastic victory from five years ago.
The fastest qualifier market sees Vettel as short as 4/9 after coming first in all four qualifying sessions so far this season. The Mercedes was impressive in qualifying in Turkey, with Nico Rosberg grabbing third place and Michael Schumacher improving significantly from his 14th place start in Malaysia to qualify eighth in Turkey. The pair are 28/1 and 50/1 respectively to be the fastest qualifier.
Sky Bet have a range of Spanish Formula One betting specials for the weekend’s action, the ‘hat-trick’ market is always popular as there are some big prices available. The market requires a driver to qualify on pole, win the race and record the fastest lap of the race. Vettel is 5/1 to complete the hat-trick whilst Webber is 16/1. Hamilton and Button are 40/1 and 66/1 respectively.
