Valtteri Bottas is determined to make the starting grid at Sepang, revealing his recovery is progressing.
The Finn suffered a soft tissue injury to his lower back during qualifying for the season-opening Australian GP.
The necessitated an overnight stay in the hospital and he returned to the circuit on the Sunday morning.
Bottas' hopes of racing, though, were undone when the FIA's medical delegate ruled that he was not fit to race.
The Williams driver has since been working on his recovery and hopes to be back in the car come the next race in Malaysia.
"Progress is being made and every day is a good step forward," he tweeted.
He added: "Can't wait for Malaysia!"
