Valtteri Bottas is adamant he can take on Lewis Hamilton in next year’s title fight, insisting that “no one is unbeatable.”
Hamilton put in a near perfect run in the wake of F1’s summer break to wrap up this year’s title in Mexico, doing so with two races to spare.
It has been a stellar second half to the championship for the British racer while Bottas hasn’t won a single race since his Austrian GP triumph back in June.
But despite their contrasting results, Bottas is adamant he can fight Hamilton for next year’s World title.
“I still agree that no one is unbeatable,” he told Sky F1.
“It’s up to me to next year be on par or better than Lewis.
“He managed to beat me this year – I admit it, he was better – that’s why the season was definitely a bit of a disappointment for me.
“But there’s been so much I’ve been able to learn this year from the whole team and also from Lewis, that I think is going to help me for the future.”
