It was Bournemouth who would register the first real chance of the opening half when Dan Gosling scuffed a volley wide from a Junior Stanislas cross.

On 22 minutes, Everton came close to opening the scoring when Lukaku powered a header towards goal. Bournemouth stopper Adam Federici, though, did well to parry the ball wide.

Just moments later from the resulting corner, Funes Mori rose highest to plant his header into the top corner.

It took just 10 minutes for Everton to double their advantage, Lukaku outmuscling Steve Cook to fire home after some lovely wing play from Gerard Delofeu.

Cook, though, nearly made amends just two minutes later, but his header from a Matt Ritchie cross was straight at Tim Howard.

With 68 minutes played, Ritchie wasted a several chance, firing a perfectly-timed volley from a Stanislas cut-back straight at Howard.

The Cherries, however, started their comeback on 79 minutes as Smith hammered a terrific effort into the top corner from about 25-yards out.

And Bournemouth were back on level terms with three minutes remaining, Stanislas rifling home from a Brendon Galloway cutback in the box.

However, there would be late drama as Barkley fired home in the fifth minute of added time  to seemingly secure the win for the Toffees.

Bournemouth, though, had other ideas and sealed a share of the spoils in the seventh minute of added time when Stanislas headed home on a quick counter attack.
