Sebastien Buemi will remain Red Bull’s test and reserve driver next season after signing a new contract.

Having lost his Toro Rosso seat after the 2011 season, the Swiss driver was appointed Red Bull back-up in 2012 and the team have kept him part of the squad since then.

The 26-year-old, who won this year’s World Endurance Championship for Toyota Racing along with Anthony Davidson, will remain for another two years after revealing he has signed a two-year extension to his contract.

“I love the work I do in the simulator – it is a lot of fun. Therefore I have now signed again for another two years,” he told Switzerland’s Blick.
