Paul di Resta reckons he doesn’t hold the key to his future despite being linked to a move further up the grid.

Earlier this season rumours had the Scot heading to Mercedes next season while now he is being linked to McLaren should Lewis Hamilton opt not to re-sign.

For now, though, di Resta insists his only focus is Force India and this weekend’s Italian Grand Prix.

“I don’t hold the key to it,” the Scot told Sky Sports News.

“It’s all talk up and down the paddock.

“Obviously there’s a few key drives likely to change but I’m a Sahara Force India driver and I’ll continue to do the work for them.”

He added: “The focus is there. It’s media speculation as it normally is at Monza.

“It’s nice to be in that framework but the important thing is keeping the focus on the race weekend.

“We’re in the car and we need to deliver 100 percent and that’s what we’ll try and do.”
