Although Paul di Resta admits all races are important, he concedes that the Indian GP is perhaps a bit more important to Force India than the rest.
Force India have been on a roll in recent weeks with the team taking points in the last five grands prix, their best run of the season.
That has pushed them up to 89 points, closing the gap to Sauber and pulling away from Williams.
And although di Resta admits it’s good to score at any of the 20 races on the calendar, bagging points at his team’s “home” race would be special.
“Obviously each race is important because the same number of points are on offer, but there’s no denying that a strong result in the team’s home race would feel special for all of us,” he said.
“So there will be a lot of attention, but we will go there ready to fight and grab some more points.”
Looking ahead to the race at the Buddh International circuit, the Scot reckons fans should see a lot of overtaking in light of DRS.
“The track is quite exciting with some satisfying corners and the grip builds quite quickly.
“It’s not an easy race with the DRS zones being so effective and it’s likely to result in lots of overtaking.”
