Ferrari chairman unhappy with team performance

Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene has said that their Chairman Sergio Marchionne was unhappy with the team’s performances at the Chinese Grand Prix.

At Sunday’s race, Ferrari duo Kimi Raikkonen, who qualified in P3, and Sebastian Vettel, who was in P4, collided seconds after the green light was shown to start the race.

Already trailing Mercedes by 53 points, Ferrari have failed to pip the silver arrows in either practice or a Grand Prix this season, something Marchionne is desperately worried about.

"He knows motor racing so of course he was not happy as I was not happy," Arrivabene told Setanta.com after his conversation with the Chairman.

"He saw the race and in certain circumstances, what can you do?

"You can say many things but there's nothing that you can do, not either to the team, or the car, things happen and you have just got to accept it. Of course he was not happy.

"By the way if he was happy I would be asking myself is he a real president."

Vettel finished 2nd at the Chinese GP, while Raikkonen crossed the finish line in P5.
