Ferrari have followed in Mercedes’ footsteps and released a brief video on social media, showing their 2018 engine being fired up for the first time.
The Scuderia will be hoping for a more sustained attack on both World Championship titles after their early-season promise last year gradually faded away.
The first engine test at the Maranello base is said to have gone well, and while both Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen were not present, they have been to HQ recently for their seat fitting.
Ferrari and Mercedes will launch their 2018 challengers on the same day – Thursday, February 22.
