FIA hinting at something?

The FIA may be trying to play matchmaker this weekend in Singapore, putting McLaren and Renault in the same Friday press conference and Honda and Toro Rosso in the other.

Motorsport’s governing body released the line-ups for the Marina Bay press conferences with Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton and Jolyon Palmer attending Thursday’s first round of questions.

It should be a good one for Alonso and Hamilton, however, not so much Palmer who is bound to be asked about Carlos Sainz taking his seat.

Second up are Daniel Ricciardo, Lance Stroll and Kevin Magnussen.

It is, however, the Friday line-up that promises some spice.

McLaren chief Zak Brown and Renault’s Cyril Abiteboul will be present along with Force India’s Otmar Szafnauer while the second press conference line-up is Honda chief Yusuke Hasegaw, Toro Rosso team boss Franz Tost and, to add a little extra, Red Bull’s Christian Horner.
