The best of the midfield teams in 2013, Force India will be intent on moving forward this season.
Debut: 2008 Australian Grand Prix
Drivers’ titles: 0
Constructors’ titles: 0
With its roots in Jordan GP, which became Midland F1 and then Spyker F1, the Force India name entered F1 in 2008 in what proved to be a point-less season.
Since then the team, a privateer outfit, has been on the up and up securing a best result of sixth place in last year’s Constructors’ Championship.
Taking the fight to McLaren in the early half of the season, Force India were undone by Pirelli’s decision to change their tyres although did find their footing again in the final races.
Carrying that form into this season, Force India will have a new line-up of the returning Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez.
The one brings talent, the other talent and money – now they just need Force India to bring the car.
