Gallery: Cold, wet but up and running

Fog and rain may have greeted the drivers at the Circuit de Catalunya but at least it was better than Wednesday’s snow, allowing for plenty of action on Thursday.

Stoffel Vandoorne posted the first lap time of the morning, and it was 18 seconds quicker than Fernando Alonso’s best from Day Three.
The drivers, including Sergey Sirotkin, covered as many laps in the first 22 minutes as they did the whole of Wednesday.
Thursday’s running, despite being the final day of the opening test, marked Sergio Perez’s first day in the Force India.
Marcus Ericsson’s Sauber is returned to the pits after stopping out on track.
The distinct yellow and black livery of the Renault as Nico Hulkenberg put in the laps.
Valtteri Bottas set the pace in the Mercedes W09 on the intermediate tyres. Lewis Hamilton will take over after lunch.
Toro Rosso and Honda’s new partnership stayed on track with Pierre Gasly laying down the laps.

Lewis Hamilton replaced Bottas for the afternoon’s session.

Sebastian Vettel had a slow start to the day but picked up the pace as the final day in Spain progressed.
Max Verstappen laid down the laps for Red Bull but wasn’t exactly a busy man.
Lewis Hamilton hit the front in the afternoon but his time was wiped for missing the chicane. He later clocked a 1:19.3 to go fastest.
