Fernando Alonso’s “great challenge” of winning the iconic Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500 could be answered by Chip Ganassi.
The McLaren driver recently spoke of the most prestigious races in motorsport, citing F1’s Monaco Grand Prix, the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500.
He told AS newspaper: “There are three competitions at the top of the legend of motor sport: Monaco, Le Mans and the Indianapolis 500 and I know it’s difficult to win all three but it would be a great challenge.”
This led to a fan urging IndyCar boss Ganassi, who will also compete in Le Mans for the first time later this year, to “make it happen”.
