GP2 title contender Antonio Giovinazzi spent a day in Ferrari’s F1 simulator, the team announced on Monday.

The 22-year-old, who trails Pierre Gasly by 10 points in the race for this year’s GP2 title, had a taste of Formula 1 on Monday.

The Italian visited Ferrari’s Maranello headquarters for a test session on the simulator.

“It was a very enjoyable experience and I would like to thank Ferrari for this opportunity,” he said.

“However, now it’s straight back to concentrating fully on my GP2 programme for the rest of this season.”
