Glock, Kubica ‘positive’ and ‘pleased’

Former F1 driver Timo Glock says it did not take him long to adjust as he tested a BMW touring car before signing with the team.

Glock was left without a race-seat for this season after parting ways with the Marussia Formula One team earlier this week due to financial reasons.

However, just days later Glock was already back in action as he took part in a DTM test at Valencia with BMW team.

“My first impressions of the BMW M3 DTM were very positive,” Glock told Autosport.

“It did not take me long to get used to the car, and I came to understand it better with every lap. The fact that we were able to test in all conditions, from wet to dry, was perfect.”

It wasn’t just the car, though, that Glock quickly adapted to, he also felt comfortable with the team and has subsequently been signed to race for them this season.

“I had a fantastic time in Formula One, but am now looking forward to battling for victories again with my old friends at BMW Motorsport. That is the approach I shall be taking to the challenge of the DTM.”
