With 96 laps on the board on Wednesday, Romain Grosjean declared it to have been a “good day in the car” for Haas.
The Frenchman replaced team-mate Kevin Magnussen for Day Two of the second pre-season test at the Circuit de Catalunya-Barcelona.
Although a couple of late red flags from rivals curtailed his running, Grosjean amassed 96 laps on the day with a best time of 1:21.887.
That put him tenth of the 14 runners present on Wednesday.
“It was a good day in the car,” he said.
“We did most of the program we wanted to do. We’re still evaluating how the car is going and how we can improve the set-up and find the weaknesses and strengths.
“Hopefully, before Melbourne we’ll have the time to make some small adjustments aerodynamically and mechanically to get there and be ready for a good performance.
“I’m very much looking forward to getting back in on Friday.”
