Now that he’s in the top three, Romain Grosjean is hoping that’s the level of consistency he can maintain for the rest of the season.
Although the Lotus driver scored points in the opening three races of the Championship, he failed to match team-mate Kimi Raikkonen’s eletric start.
While the Finn was bagging race wins and podium finishes, Grosjean was only just inside the points.
However, that changed in Bahrain on Sunday when the 27-year-old raced from 11th to third, overtaking Paul di Resta for the final podium position just five laps from the end.
Grosjean is now hoping that Sunday’s result is the start of great things to come.
“In the first three races we were consistent but not where we wanted to be,” said the Frenchman.
“We have done a lot of work on the car and basically today we got it right.
“Our strategy was different to everyone else and I am very pleased to be up here, the same as last year and now we hope we can find some consistency.”
