Grosjean: Haas making good progress

With 118 laps on the board on Day Four of pre-season testing, Romain Grosjean believes Haas are making good progress.

Grosjean took to the track for the fourth and final day of the first test on Thursday where he covered 118 laps, the busiest of any of the drivers.

Putting the VF17 through its paces in the wet and dry after the Barcelona circuit was artificially watered, Grosjean finished the day with a 1:22.309.

That put him fourth fastest for the day.

“It’s been a productive day for us,” said the Frenchman.

“We managed to get some wet running, inter running, pit stop practice, dry running and trying a few setup changes that we had thought about overnight.

“The car is getting better and better.

“The team is doing a great job. Our pit stops looked pretty good. We’re trying to understand as much as we can.

“Of course, this is winter testing and it’s never going to get close to the conditions we have over a race weekend but, generally, I think we’ve made some good progress today.

“Hopefully, we can analyse all of that over the weekend and come back stronger next week.”
