Mark Webber has lashed out at Romain Grosjean, saying it’s time the Frenchman went on “another holiday.”

Grosjean has made a name for himself this season not only for his speed but, unfortunately for his rivals, also for his first lap incidents.

This resulted in the Lotus driver being slapped with a one-race ban for the Italian Grand Prix after he took out several drivers, including Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, at the first corner at Spa.

However, it seems Grosjean hasn’t quite learnt his lesson as the Frenchman was back at it on Sunday in Japan, driving into the back of Webber’s Red Bull at the first corner.

Grosjean was handed a ten-second stop-go penalty, however, that didn’t take away from the fact that he had damaged both Webber’s car and the Aussie’s grand prix.

“I haven’t obviously seen what happened at the start but the guys confirmed that it was the first-lap nutcase again Grosjean,” Webber said.

“The rest of us are trying to fight for some decent results each weekend but he is trying to get to the third corner as fast as he can at every race.

“It makes it frustrating because a few big guys probably suffered from that and maybe he needs another holiday.

“He needs to have a look at himself, it was completely his fault. How many mistakes can you make, how many times can you make the same error?

“First-lap incidents… yeah… it’s quite embarrassing at this level for him.”
