Grosjean to start from pit lane

Romain Grosjean is the only change to the Mexican Grand Prix grid as he will start from the pit lane after Haas changed the floor of his VF16.

The Frenchman had a torrid time in qualifying, finishing down in 21st place, slowest of those who set times.

In the wake of qualifying, Grosjean stated that “something clearly is not right” resulting in Haas changing the floor of his F1 car.

As such he will start from the pit lane.

Meanwhile Lewis Hamilton will take his position at the sharp end of the grid having qualified ahead of his championship rival Nico Rosberg.

Should Hamilton finish ninth or higher in Mexico, the title race will continue into Brazil.

However, should he finish P10 or lower and Rosberg win the race, the German will wrap up the World title.
