HRT have reportedly passed all their mandatory FIA crash tests, meaning the team can run at Barcelona next time out.
Although HRT contested the opening pre-season test at Jerez, the backmarker outfit did so using last year’s F111.
However, they opted to sit out the second test after their 2012 chassis failed to pass its mandatory crash tests.
The team revealed that the car failed just two of the 17 tests, which reportedly related to the roll hoop and the lateral nose.
HRT, though, will be permitted to run their new car at the final test after finally passing all 17 tests.
The final pre-season test kicks off on March 1st at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona.
