Hulkenberg unfazed by speculation

Nico Hulkenberg is refusing to let rumours about a potential move to Ferrari detract him, conceding his future is not entirely in his control.

With Kimi Raikkonen failing to impress in recent weeks, the Finn's seat at Ferrari is under threat.

This has resulted in the rumour mill speculating as to who could possibly replace him.

And one such name is 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours winner, Hulkenberg.

Asked about his future and whether he will stay at Force India or move on, he said: "It depends what is on offer…

"Of course, you check the options, you check the market and what is available or what could become available. It would be silly not to do so."

The German, though, concedes that his future is not entirely in his hands.

As such, the only thing he can do is continue to do his best and see what happens.

"I feel comfortable. I think the most important thing for me is to keep performing, to reach 100 per cent my maximum each weekend. That is the best I can do and the other things will fall into place anyway.

"It is all not fully in my hands and control, there are other things and factors that play into there as well.

"It is still early days. I am happy and comfortable where I am, I will keep fighting and working away."
