Kimi Raikkonen has added more fuel to rumours linking him with a move to Ferrari, saying “you never know what happens in the future”.

The Finn, who won the 2007 World Championship with the team before leaving at the end of the 2009 season, is rumoured to be wanted back by the Maranello squad as a replacement for Felipe Massa for 2013.

While Ferrari have dismissed the speculation as “rubbish”, Raikkonen has decided to remain coy about the possibility of returning to the Italian stable.

Asked if he would consider a move back, the 32-year-old answered: “I always said that I have no bad feelings and I had a good time with the team. I won one Championship there.”

Raikkonen, who returned to F1 this year following a couple of years in the World Rally Championship, insists he is happy with his role at Lotus, but again he didn’t rule out a move to Ferrari completely.

“You never know what happens in the future,” he said. “I am happy where I am right now. Things going pretty nicely.
