King handed Abu Dhabi practice run

Jordan King will be back in action in Formula 1 next weekend when he takes part in Friday's opening practice at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix with Manor.

The development driver had his first taste of a grand prix weekend when he tested for the team in the United States in October.

He finished 20th in FP1 with a 1:42:012. That put him 1.8s up on team-mate Esteban Ocon.

King will be back in action at the season-ending Abu Dhabi, putting in the laps around the Yas Marina circuit where he will replace Ocon for FP1.

"We're pleased to welcome Jordan back to the cockpit for his second planned FP1 session," said Manor racing director Dave Ryan.

"He'll be taking over Esteban's car on Friday morning and we have a busy programme of testing items lined up for him again."
