Whether Robert Kubica will ever race in Formula One again is still some months away from being decided, according to a friend of the Pole’s.
Kubica has been out of action since suffering life-threatening injuries in a rally accident just over a year ago.
With his right arm almost completely severed and bones broken, it has been a long road to recovery for the former Renault driver.
However, Kubica is slowly but surely taking those steps with a decision on his racing future expected mid-year.
“Robert is close to leading a normal life,” a close friend of the Pole’s told the BBC Sport.
“He drives his road car and goes out by himself.
“He is still building up the strength in his (injured) right arm.
“It will be June or July before it can be determined if he is fit enough to test a F1 car.”
