Kubica: Stop talking about limitations

Robert Kubica is tired of the media speaking about his “limitations”, saying he can do the job and that “should be enough.”

The Polish driver spent his first few hours in the new Williams FW41 when he replaced Sergey Sirotkin on Tuesday afternoon in Spain.

He clocked a best time of 1:21.495 to finish the day four-tenths up on the Russian rookie.

His time is also Williams’ fastest to date.

“I’ve been always comfortable [in the car]. It was only media talks that I was not comfortable,” he told Sky Sports F1.

“If I keep changing [the car], you [the media] will keep saying I have limitations. I think we should stop.

“If I can jump in the car and do the job that should be enough.”

He added: “I have my limitations which I never hide.

“The problem is I was too honest with everyone and they keep asking the same questions.

“I’m living a good period, enjoying my role and I’m hoping to give a positive message and not the same story after many years.”
