Kubica v di Resta in ‘Williams shoot-out’

Robert Kubica will take on Paul di Resta in a two-day test with each driver spending one day behind the wheel with a potential prize of a 2018 Williams race-seat.
According to reports, Williams are deciding between Felipe Massa, Kubica or di Resta for Lance Stroll’s 2018 team-mate.
But while Massa is in the car and Williams are very familiar with what he can do, the same cannot be said of Kubica or even di Resta despite the latter being Williams third driver and filling in for Massa in Hungary.
As such Motor Sport Magazine is reporting that the Grove team will hold a two-day test at the Hungaroring mid to late October.
Kubica, who will be given some time at Silverstone to familiarise himself with the team’s 2014 car, will drive on day one before di Resta takes over for the second day.
And should Williams opt not to re-sign Massa, the winner may get his race-seat.
