Magnussen refutes IndyCar rumours
Kevin Magnussen has rubbished reports that he is off to the IndyCar series in 2017, saying he hopes to remain with Renault for “many years.”
With Renault confirming Nico Hulkenberg for next year’s championship, it is evident that either Magnussen or his team-mate Jolyon Palmer are out – or both.
Although Magnussen has stated several times that he wishes to remain in F1 with Renault, the Dane was recently linked to a move to America’s IndyCar series with Andretti.
Magnussen, though, says the reports are nothing but rumours.
“Seeing rumors around about me in IndyCar. I’m a big fan of IndyCar but those are really just rumors. Nothing to it,” he tweeted.

I feel confident my future is in F1 and there should be no doubt I intent to stay with @RenaultSportF1 for many years if I can.

Unfortunately there is nothing yet to announce regarding my future, but hopefully there will be soon. I too am getting impatient! ??
