Kevin Magnussen is poised to become the latest Formula 1 driver to join the line-up for the Daytona 24 Hours in late January.
Fernando Alonso was the first to be confirmed for the endurance race as he builds up his experience ahead of an expected run at Le Mans later in the year. He will line-up alongside McLaren reserve driver Lando Norris at United Autosports.
Next to follow in the Spaniard's footsteps was Williams' Lance Stroll, who is returning to the race with Jackie Chan DC Racing.
And now, according to Ekstra Bladet, Magnussen is close to agreeing a deal with Action Express Racing team, who will race a Dallara which is also a partner of Magnussen's team at Haas.
His father, Jan, is also a regular at Daytona 24 Hours and is set to race in a Corvette again in 2018.
