Marciello handed Sepang FP1 drive

Raffaele Marciello will take part in an F1 race weekend for the first time in Malaysia after Sauber confirmed he will be in action on the Friday.

The Ferrari Driver Academy racer has been named Sauber test and reserve driver for the 2015 season and he has already had a taste of F1 action as he competed for Ferrari at the Abu Dhabi test in Novemnber.

The 20-year-old will get more mileage under his belt at the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang on 27 March as he has been handed Free Practice One driving duties.

Felipe Nasr and Marcus Ericsson are Sauber's two drivers this year and the team are yet to confirm who will make way for the Italian.
