Massa: Vettel ‘really likes to complain’ on radio

Felipe Massa brushed off Sebastian Vettel's reaction as the World Championship leader lost time trying to pass the Williams in the dying stages of the Russian Grand Prix.

Vettel cried "What was that?!" before giving Massa the middle finger as he lost a few valuable tenths to race leader Bottas after reeling the Finn into DRS range.

And while Vettel would not use the incident as an excuse for finishing P2 behind Bottas, Massa insisted he gave Vettel plenty of room and time to pass him.

"He's never on the radio complaining, no?" Massa joked.

"I left completely the inside for him. I backed off before in Turn 4 and he didn't want to go. I saw that he was afraid to dive inside. I was completely on the left. I let him by straight after that.

"Anyway, he really likes to complain."

Massa also praised his former-team Bottas for the first win of his Formula 1 career.

"I'm so happy for him, he deserves it, for the driver he is," said Massa.

"Maybe people are not talking about him at the right level. I said straight away when he signed he would do a good job, and he's doing that.

"Now he's a different driver because he achieved a victory."
