Massa wants to celebrate after final race

Ahead of his final and 250th race, Felipe Massa is expecting yet another emotional race after his home Grand Prix in Brazil two weeks ago.

Already coming off a tear-jerking Brazilian Grand Prix, where he was lauded by the crowd and teams at the paddock, Massa is hoping Abu Dhabi will be more of a celebration than a farewell.

“It’s going to be another emotional one!” Massa said.

“You try not think about it too much when you’re in the car, you just try to do as good a job as you can.

“It’s a really nice track to drive, there are lots of fans who really enjoy themselves at the track and outside of the track and it is, of course, a twilight race which is interesting for us and everyone watching.

“I really hope the final, and 250th race of my Formula One career, can be a fantastic one. We will of course have a big party! Hopefully we can celebrate with a great result.”

Aiming to pip Force India to fourth on the Constructors’ Championship, Massa and his team-mate Valtteri Bottas completed 2-3 finish at the 2014 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

Williams are 27-points behind Force India on the Championship table as Bottas told reporters after the race the Grove-based franchise need to throw the kitchen sink at them if they are to have any chance of pipping them.
