Massa: We can fight for the podium

Felipe Massa is optimistic of Williams' chances at this weekend's Canadian Grand Prix and believes they could claim a podium position..

In the last two years, Williams have performed impressively in Montreal, with a near -victory in 2014 for Massa and a podium for his teammate Valterri Bottas in 2015.

After failting to finish in the top three in 2016 so far, the Brazilian speedster is welcoming the weekend ahead and hopes to replicate the same performances in the last two years.

"I would say in the last two years we've done really well in Canada," said the former Ferrari driver.

"I think we've had a competitive car so I really hope we can repeat that performance again this year.

"I hope we can have a competitive race there and maybe even fight for the podium."

Bottas had similar words to say to his teammate, say that he enjoys when they travel to Montreal.

"The track is pretty fast and it's really enjoyable to drive," he added.

"We finished on the podium there last year so I have some very good memories. Hopefully we can have a strong result."
