Max ‘not afraid’ of Red Bull exit

Max Verstappen is adamant he is "relaxed" about the Red Bull situation as concerns about the senior team and Toro Rosso continue.

Red Bull have threatened to quit Formula 1 at the end of this season unless they have a competitive engine.

And with both Mercedes and Ferrari saying no to the senior team, those threats could yet come true.

As for Toro Rosso, Ferrari re reportedly willing to supply them with the engines but there has been no official word from either party.

But whatever happens, Toro Rosso rookie Verstappen says he's not letting it get to him.

When asked by Motorsport.com whether he had a 'Plan B' on the table, Verstappen said: "Not now, but I am not afraid.

"I am very happy with the contract I have, but if they don't stay you have to look for other options of course.

"At the moment there is no intention for that. I am not worried about it. I am happy with where I am.

"You cannot change the situation – and I always stay relaxed about it. And if not, I can always go back go-karting!"
