One of Formula One’s oldest and most successful teams, McLaren are looking for a return to the front of the grid in 2014.
Debut: 1966 Monaco Grand Prix
Drivers’ titles: 12
Constructors’ titles: 8
Debuting at the 1966 Monaco GP, McLaren have added 182 race victories, eighth Constructors’ Championships and 12 Drivers’ titles to their impressive tally.
However, the team has struggled in recent years.
Despite winning the Drivers’ in 2008 with Lewis Hamilton, McLaren’s form has been off of late so much so that in 2013 they failed to reach the podium.
This season with Jenson Button leading the charge and teaming up with rookie racer Kevin Magnussen, McLaren are looking to return to the front.
And with a major overhaul of the sport’s regulations coming into play, 2014 may be McLaren’s best opportunity yet to overhaul Champions Red Bull.
