Mercedes planning Brackley expansion

Mercedes are showing no signs of slowing down after they received the green light to expand their Brackley base.
The Silver Arrows, who have won both Formula 1 titles on offer every season since 2014, have been wanting to expand their reception area and their wind tunnel facilities in order to stay ahead of the competition.
Those plans will now come to fruition after receiving building permission from the South Northamptonshire Council.
The Brackley base was first constructed in 1999 by BAR, before passing through to Honda Racing, Brawn GP and then onto Mercedes.
Mercedes boast over a 1000 members of staff working at both Brackley and their engine department which is 25 miles away in Brixworth.
"We are fortunate to have the right resources, which isn’t always a given, but importantly we have the right people," Wolff said when praising the team he has at his disposal.
"We have a team that works together in the right spirit and the mind-set of success in Brixworth and Brackley. We have not allowed ourselves to become complacent, but remain motivated and energised.
"For me, I could not imagine working with a better group of people."
