Mercedes, Williams continue to up the pace

Mercedes' Valtteri Bottas has set the fastest time of winter testing so far, while Williams' Felipe Massa posted a new fastest lap on ultrasofts.

Bottas, who will hand over driving duties to Lewis Hamilton this afternoon, finished top of the timesheets at the lunch break on Day Two of the second and final pre-season test with a best time of 1:19.310 on the supersofts.

Massa then followed with a 1:19.420 on ultras, with Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen – whose morning was disrupted due to a fluid systems check on the SF70H – completing the top three as he posted a 1:20.406 on softs.

McLaren-Honda are propping up the rest of the field heading into the afternoon session, with Fernando Alonso limited to just 27 laps and well off the pace.
