Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen will be permitted to race wheel-to-wheel without fear of team orders throughout this season; that’s according to Helmut Marko.
Red Bull’s driver pairing for the 2017 season promised to be one of the most exciting as both drivers are evenly matched in ability and hunger.
With the prospect of Red Bull challenging for race wins, and even the World title, the desire to be number one in the team is bound to spill over.
Red Bull, though, are willing to take that risk.
“The danger is quite real,” Marko told German publication Motorsport-Magazin.
“But it does not change our racing philosophy or enthusiasm in any way.
“With us, there are no team orders.
“We are more racers than that.”
