Pastor Maldonado is determined to help Lotus to regain its form, saying they have "everything in the right place to win".
Having won one race and claimed numerous podiums in 2013, Lotus fell on lean times last year as Maldonado and Romain Grosjean often found themselves at the back of the grid as engine supplier Renault struggled with the new regulations.
They switched to Mercedes power units for the 2015 season and the team have already looked a lot more solid during the opening pre-season test at Jerez last week.
"It is going to be a very interesting season for us," Maldonado is quoted as saying by Crash.net. "We are hoping to have much better performance than last year. We have been working hard to improve the problems that we had.
"The E23 is much more competitive than last year. A very solid car in terms of driveability and performance, and very consistent through the season. My target to get the team back to where it was before I came here. We have all of the tools, we have everything in the right place to be competitive again and to win. This is the main target: to win."
