Sergio Perez has advised Max Verstappen to grab every opportunity that F1 presents as he has a bright future ahead of him.
Verstappen was undoubtedly one of the stars of 2015 as the rookie driver showed not only speed but also a lack of fear as he took on the sport's best.
Pulling off some thrilling passes, including one on Perez at the Brazilian Grand Prix, Verstappen raced to 12th place in the championship.
This season he will remain with Toro Rosso with reports suggesting the next step in his career could be senior team Red Bull Racing.
But with Ferrari and Mercedes also knocking on his door, Perez has urged the 18-year-old to "maximise" his opportunities.
"I think Max is going to get better through the years, not only Max but the young drivers coming in," the Force India driver old ESPN. "It depends on the opportunities.
"There are so many things happening in the career of the driver. What I recommend to them is to keep learning, keep improving race-by-race, year-by-year and maximise opportunities in your career.
"You don't know if you are going to be in the right team at the right moment, but no-one knows. Only a few people are lucky enough to get that so you need to maximise every opportunity you have and develop as a driver every year."
