Porsche have yet again ruled out a move into Formula 1, saying it is not on the company’s horizon.
Although there have been rumours of late that Volkswagen Group, who own Porsche and Audi, are considering a move into F1, neither car manufacturer is not interested.
In October last year Audi said talk of them competing in F1 was “pure speculation and without any foundation.”
Now Porsche have also ruled themselves out.
“Formula One has never been an issue for us and it won’t be,” head of development Wolfgang Hatz told Auto Motor und Sport.
“Le Mans is a more attractive environment. There are more and more competitors and we learn more.”
