Kimi Raikkonen has shared his thoughts on a wide range of subjects in a fantastic interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Raikkonen is not usually a big fan of interviews with the press but he was on good form here as he discussed his relationship with team-mate Sebastian Vettel, his thoughts on 2019 and signing up to Instagram.
Raikkonen and Vettel have been team-mates since 2015 and, during that time, the Finn said that they have built up a good rapport with each other.
“There have never been any problems between us,” Raikkonen told interviewer Gianluca D’Alessandro.
“If something happens, we talk and move on.
“Take Monte Carlo , for example, I was disappointed by my result, given that I could have won, but I wasn’t upset with the team or Seb.
“Instead someone wrote that I was unhappy with the fact that he won. A very different story.”
Raikkonen also reiterated his stance on his plans for 2019, suggesting he would be open to staying with Ferrari for another season.
He added: “It’s a decision which is influenced by many factors. For sure, my passion won’t disappear by the end of the season.”
The Finn shocked many by signing up to Instagram, but won’t be surprised he does not particularly enjoy it.
“To be honest, I’m not a big fan of it,” Raikkonen said.
“My wife, who has an official account for a long time, helps me. It can be useful for me to keep memories.”
D’Alessandro has tweeted the full interview with Raikkonen:
