Although Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen remain free to race, Helmut Marko says the pit wall will get involved if they sense another Baku issue boiling.
The Red Bull team-mates committed the biggest sin in Formula 1 when, last time out in Baku, they cost the team a double points-haul when they crashed into another one.
While their Red Bull bosses were furious at the time, they insisted from the get-go that the drivers would remain free to race.
And that, Marko says, they are sticking by although they will intervene if they feel something is about to boil over.
“We’ll let them drive free,” he told Auto Bild.
“However, in future we will tell the race engineers that they will have to intervene when we see that it could escalate again.”
The Red Bull advisor added that Ricciardo and Verstappen have spoken since the incident which Red Bull now consider to be closed.
He added: “The two of them have spoken.
“There is no bad blood.
“You don’t have to talk about it anymore. The book is closed.”
