Revised Belgian GP grid

Date published: August 28 2016

Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso will start the Belgian GP from the very back of the grid as they have 55 and 60-place engine penalties.

Both Mercedes and Honda changed the power units of Hamilton and Alonso’s cars no fewer than three times.

Hamilton’s changes were all strategic while Alonso’s started with an upgrade, followed by a water leak and then an oil pressure problem.

Meanwhile Esteban Gutierrez will start 18th on the grid after incurring a five-place for impeding Pascal Wehrlein in qualifying.

Marcus Ericsson has a 10-place penalty for an engine change.
